Before you pack

  • Enduro models use Yamaha powerplants — engine-side screws may be JIS while the chassis is European.
  • Caballero road models run tube-type spoked wheels: no plug kit.

Always added for this brand

  • Reversible screwdriver — JIS/Phillips + flat

Carb bowls, clamps, bodywork and inspection covers. On Japanese bikes the cross-head screws are JIS, not Phillips — a Phillips driver cams out and rounds them off.

  • Spare clutch and brake lever

The first thing to snap in a tip-over, and the one break that genuinely ends the ride. World-champion enduro riders carry both in a bum bag.
